History Man Posted January 19, 2015 Share #1 Posted January 19, 2015 Picked this up yesterday because it was just too cool, a USAF shooting team from the Vietnam period. From the team patch it appears that the owner was part of the 831st Air Division. I have seen multiple Army and Marine used shooting jackets but this is my first USAF used one. The jacket is made by a sporting goods company with padding and an interesting layout. There are patches sewn onto the jacket, including a generic USAF command patch and George AFB nametape along with a really nice team patch on the back. It still has the earplugs attached too. I understand you're just stating it's not a numbered squadron patch or something more specific. It's a kool shooting jacket. Any history on the original owner? A name?
