Schofield1943 Posted January 18, 2015 Share #1 Posted January 18, 2015 Just wanted to share the above photo in memory of my buddy's grandfather who passed away at 91 this weekend. He's the one standing behind the GS in WINGS in the photo... he was stationed at Lincoln Army Airfield in Nebraska for the duration of the war and met his wife there (he was NYer). He was on the US Olympic Basketball Team that won a Gold Medal at the 1948 London Olympics. RIP Ray Lumpp. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
