I would re-try the ones that didn't upload.
I just used the forum resizing tool and some of my photos were still too large to post. All my photos were taken with my cell phone camera, so how come some of them uploaded and some didn't?

I retook the pictures, but the one closeup of one of the lighters was still too big to upload. The other two worked just fine.

Sorry, may be I missed something... I have a MacBook Pro and am having a really hard time posting images. I did not use the resizing tool at first, but manually resized the photos to less than 110K and the first two uploaded, then the third one (resized down to 40-some K in size) would not upload because the "file was too large"!
So I tried the resizing tool and thought aha, this is it, this will do it - but when I chose a photo I had two choices, one was a default save as a "text edit" and the other was a download save - both of which looked like gibberish. I did not get a choice as to where to save, it just was two choices...
Please help, what am I doing wrong?

I just got this, after submitting one very large photo.
Internal Server Error

Please contact the server administrator at [email protected] to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
I don't know what it means, but may help Ben provide a solution to at least my problems (with the resizer, not life).

I tried resizing tool to add image to post. the resizing went well but could not add to post. I use an I-Mac. Thanks for any help

I have an I-Mac and use Mac's Photos to resize any pics I need to post. I import/bring into Mac's Photos. Then I select one or more photos, and choose File, Export, Export 1 Photo (NOT Export Original Unmodified Photo), then I choose the settings as indicated below and usually copy it/them to my desktop. I pick up the photo/s from desktop when selecting Choose File in the forum, then select Attach This File. Depending on the size of the original file, sometimes I've been able to change the Size from Medium to Large in Photos and it will still upload into the forum, but I usually leave the size Medium. I've never had a problem uploading photos into the forum. Hope that helps.

Thank you very much, Ben! Am always leery of computer "stuff" but I tried your resizing program today and it worked perfectly! Wish I had tried it when I first read about it - a couple of years ago. Thanks again!

EDIT: I've noticed high resolution photos tend to be very grainy once converted. Is there any way to stop this?
