Macstevo Posted January 13, 2015 Share #1 Posted January 13, 2015 Hi guys my friend sent me this picture of a bayonet he found and was unsure of what type it is. If any one could tell me it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Steve

Big Al Posted January 13, 2015 Share #3 Posted January 13, 2015 It is a Canadian Ross rifle bayonet. Does it have any crossed-out markings and a US stamped into it? That would indicate it is one of the ones bought by the US for use in training camps during WWI.
Macstevo Posted January 13, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted January 13, 2015 Thanks guys I'm happy that I was able to tell my friend what bayonet he had. Big al I'll ask him what type of markings it has as I'm not to sure. Cheers Steve
poch Posted January 13, 2015 Share #5 Posted January 13, 2015 Asked him to check the right grip. US purchased bayonets were stamped there by the Shell and Flame mark and US. Also the scabbard was marked same way on the mouthpiece.
