respectingthesacrifice Posted December 26, 2014 Share #1 Posted December 26, 2014 As title said is there a list of known patches British made patches printed on canvas during WWII? I have those two, which are common (as far as I know) Would appreciate your feedbacks Thanks in advance Eric

David D Posted December 26, 2014 Share #3 Posted December 26, 2014 The only two I have seen are the ones posted but I will dig around and see if I can find any more. I do have some Sgt. And Cpl. stripes that are printed but im not sure if thy are British made though. I did a quick internet search and all that came up was the ones already posted. -Dave

PATCHRAT Posted December 26, 2014 Share #7 Posted December 26, 2014 and here is a 15th Army Group -- this may or may not have been worn by US troops since it was a combined unit. It is a bit smaller that the standard US fully embroidered version.

jw1969 Posted December 27, 2014 Share #11 Posted December 27, 2014 Here's an example of a printed AB-tab made for British WW2 Airborne troops (even uncut). This tab was worn together with the 'Pegasus'-insignia which with any doubt will exist in the printed version too.
BILL THE PATCH Posted December 29, 2014 Share #12 Posted December 29, 2014 don't forget the kiska task force patch.
hardstripe Posted December 29, 2014 Share #13 Posted December 29, 2014 Very Nice Patches and an interesting variation set. Infantryboy11629th I would like to see scans or pics of the printed chevrons. I've never seen any but thought since they made printed patches they could have made chevrons also. BILL THE PATCH Posted December 29, 2014 Share #14 Posted December 29, 2014 oh the I forgot this little gem. a few people told me that they never made this patch in raincoat material, but as you see here it is. it came with other 1ssf items. I believe it to be real.

Timberwolf Posted December 29, 2014 Share #19 Posted December 29, 2014 Found this http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/223566-ww2-printed-9th-af-ssi-and-specialists-patches/ I'm guessing they sold but good reference for the camera specialist triangle as a cloth printed patch. BROBS Posted December 29, 2014 Share #20 Posted December 29, 2014 looks to be CBI rather than Brit made, however. -Brian
David D Posted December 29, 2014 Share #21 Posted December 29, 2014 I just found them, they dont match up with the other Brit made ones as seen here so I dont think they are actually British made printed ones. -Dave
88thcollector Posted December 31, 2014 Share #22 Posted December 31, 2014 the photographer is mine and it is CBI.
88thcollector Posted December 31, 2014 Share #23 Posted December 31, 2014 This is a cap size airborne command. it has a weird black, fuzzy back. I do not know if it is British or even real. I don't like that it is sewn to khaki. It may be kids patch.
BROBS Posted December 31, 2014 Share #24 Posted December 31, 2014 I vote not real..... At least I've never seen anything like it. Lots of fakers see items to a backing to hide 'tells' that it's fake. -Brian
