Thanks! Yes, it is a real period Thai made one. I have not seen another, but I'm sure there would be more. I was very lucky to get it.

Randy

Great looking patches Randy. That may be the first legitimate wartime example of a Jane Fonda patch I recall seeing.

Original 1960's Manfred von Richtofen - The Red Baron, and the "Opposition"

The "Peanuts" patches, especially the Snoopy ones, were very popular during the 60's and 70's.When I was a kid I remember seeing those two patches at my local 5 and dime.

MECHINF-A15

If I may add a little of my personal Military history I was assigned to Company A, 4th Platoon (81 mm Mortar Platoon) 1st Bn. (Mech.) 5th Inf., 25th Inf. Division from early February, 1970 till January 1971. Prior to our invasion into Cambodia I was assigned to Track 40 which was the FDC (Fire Direction Control) track in 4th Platoon. The Gun tracks (M125s) were track 41 "A Little Bit Of Hell", Track 42 "Sweet Pea" (BTW the oldest surviving track in the 25th Infantry Division) and track 43.

Track 40 had a silhouetted SNOOPY sitting on his dog house painted on the 50 caliber MG turret of our track. The attached photo which was taken after our return from Cambodia in late June 1970 to abandoned fire base in Tay Nihn Province, Vietnam shows me on (left) holding a busted aiming stake and BIG JOHN on the right.

Here is another shot of track 40 with SNOOPY on the turret. Spec. 4 Ramos (track 43) is on the left and BIG JOHN (track 40) on the right.

Another SNOOPY photo from the Southeast Asia war is one of our allied Aussie 3rd Cav.Regiment tracks that appears to have suffered a mine damaged drive sprocket.
