Here is a small, unidentified grouping I picked up. Includes interesting web belt (non-standard issue), Japanese made DIs, Japanese made 24th SSIs, and a gorgeous bullion CIB / ribbon rack.

Close-up of the belt buckle. The buckle has holes drilled through it and the clutch back CIB and DI are held in place by their pins being pushed through then bent over.

 Wow, thanks for sharing these amazing pieces. The web belt was used for honor guard ceremonies. I have seen a handful, but only a couple with added DUIs or CIBs.

Those patches are just killer and so is the ribbon rack. Interesting to note that the KW Service ribbon actually resembles a French Colonial ribbon. This soldier probably arrived in Korea in June/July 1950 when the 24th defended Taejon. I've found that almost every soldier in the division received a Bronze Star for the period July 2 - November 2 1950. There were so many they were still awarded them through summer 1951.

Also great to see 1/2" ribbons during Korea. I recently found a set almost identical in manufacture to these for a Marine. I don't think I've ever seen Army 1/2" ribbons in Korea. Congratulations!

Well, you know where to send them when you're done

Great group. The belt is fantastic. If you ever want to part with the group and do some trading, let me know. I have a great items to offer. Do you collect 10th Mountain? I have some 10th Mountain Division stuff. Anyway, thanks for sharing. Kurt

Thanks for the comments, I agree with Captainofthe7th, I am thinking that these items came from an honor guard's uniform. I only wish the group had come with collar disks or rank. I picked this set up at the ASMIC show in San Diego this past September and just got around to taking some photos.

If anyone has a picture of a belt like this being worn I would love to see it.

Thanks!

Here you are! This is my Uncle with the 45th Division in Korea. Interesting to see that he is using the 'long flap' M1924 first aid pouch. I have this belt that he's wearing. He told me it was used for honor guard, parades, and other such activities. They don't show up too often. All the ones I've seen have been the same shade of forest green, not really an OD.
