The buckle has holes drilled through it and the clutch back CIB and DI are held in place by their pins being pushed through then bent over. I have seen a handful, but only a couple with added DUIs or CIBs. Those patches are just killer and so is the ribbon rack. Interesting to note that the KW Service ribbon actually resembles a French Colonial ribbon. This soldier probably arrived in Korea in June/July 1950 when the 24th defended Taejon. I've found that almost every soldier in the division received a Bronze Star for the period July 2 - November 2 1950. There were so many they were still awarded them through summer 1951. Also great to see 1/2" ribbons during Korea. I recently found a set almost identical in manufacture to these for a Marine. I don't think I've ever seen Army 1/2" ribbons in Korea. Congratulations! I only wish the group had come with collar disks or rank. I picked this set up at the ASMIC show in San Diego this past September and just got around to taking some photos. Interesting to see that he is using the 'long flap' M1924 first aid pouch. I have this belt that he's wearing. He told me it was used for honor guard, parades, and other such activities.
