sjw83071 Posted November 27, 2014 Share #1 Posted November 27, 2014 I have had these for several years. I know nothing about the soldier Joseph L Fisher 34707820 Birmingham Alabama. I would really appreciate any information on his war service. Thanks Sandy Moderator- if this is in the incorrect forum, please move to the the proper place. Bellumbill Posted December 30, 2014 Share #8 Posted December 30, 2014 Hello - Great tags thanks for the pics. Unfortunately, very little of a WWII US Army soldier's records are available online - unlike US Navy or Marines - there is not much you can get from NARA unless you send away for a copy of his service record. Even those don't tell you that much. From what I can see, US Army service records were not kept in as much detail as US Navy personnel records it seems. For example, I recently ordered records for a marine whose dog tags I recently purchased. Now granted he was a career marine with 30 years service but I received 750 pages of information on him! I have never seen US Army records this extensive. Good luck in your search! Very best, Bill K.
