Cavalry/Riding Breeches

I picked two sets of what I believe are riding breeches. Both are in good shape, and had been starched by their owner, who's name is written on the inner waist band.

I also bought the 'Ike' jacket, which also has the owner's name and service number written in it.

I'd appreciate comment on these trousers, as I'd never had any of these. Are these pre-war, common, uncommon, etc?

I payed $40 for the trousers, jacket, as well as a pair of 1941-dated gaiters.

They look to be a pair of WWI era summer cotton breeches. There may still have a tag on the inside of the pants on the pocket somewhere that has the contract date and manufacturer info.
