Converting an HGU-39/P to an SPH-4. Any suggestions on filling the un-needed holes? I'm thinking JB Weld.

Thoughts?

I've used a product called JB Kwik on several helmet projects. It's a 2-part epoxy. Very robust and sands well.

For paint, I use Rapco Paint -- usually in a rattle can for small projects like helmets. Lusterless khaki olive drab FS34087 is the correct color for the SPH-4.

Holes filled, Primer/surface applied. Wet sand in about 4 hours, then apply color coat.

More to come!

Color coat; the visor was OD when I got it,

Notice how close the Rustoleum is. Maybe 1 shade difference.

A couple more. More to come.

Let the paint cure for a week or so

then turn my wife loose for artwork!

The re-assembly!
