Hello all,

Not primarily an American collector though I do get stuff from Estates that I purchase. Can anyone please give me any ideas on if this one is authentic? I know they make fakes of these, and I blatantly don't know how to tell the two apart so any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Looks good to me. SKIP

thank you, Sir. If I were to offer to trade for German items, or list it here in the for sale section, would right around $350 be reasonable considering it doesn't have a scabbard/sheath? I appreciate the help thus far.

I've watched these go up for sale over the past year. Setting a price is dependent on how fast you want it to sell. Without a scabbard, I don't believe it would sell very quickly at $350. If it were priced at $275 it would sell faster. As for my opinion of value for trade, about $300 would be it. Just my opinion.

Also need to see photo of the markings to confirm authenticity.

Greetings William,

I would have to agree with Thorin6's lower-end pricing. As it appears the handle is loose and the weld/peen on the handle's base appears cracked, there are plenty of these knives available without those issues for around $350.00.

Regards,

Lance
