Hookemhorns88 Posted November 21, 2014 Share #1 Posted November 21, 2014 I will be visiting Worcester, England the second week of December for business. Is there anything in Worcester or nearby that is of interest regarding WW2? I have been to London twice and have been to Cardiff but that is the extent of my travels in the UK. Thanks in advance. glenm Posted November 21, 2014 Share #2 Posted November 21, 2014 Just make sure you pronounce it Wooster.... not Wor-ces-ter...! How far are you willing to travel out?
Hookemhorns88 Posted November 21, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted November 21, 2014 I will be flying in and out of Birmingham as well. So if there is anything in Birmingham. My travel distance will be limited to the immediate area due to possible time constraints. If nothing WW2 related then are there any other "must sees"? king802 Posted November 23, 2014 Share #4 Posted November 23, 2014 The Worcestshire Regiment museum should be worth a visit. Do a google search there should be lots to see in the area. Rich
Sabrejet Posted November 24, 2014 Share #5 Posted November 24, 2014 If you want some history and culture there's the cathedral. http://www.worcestercathedral.co.uk/
glenm Posted November 24, 2014 Share #6 Posted November 24, 2014 Is there a reason why I can't attach links (even by simply pasting) any more? I was going to reply to this but can't get the links posted!!!! Also look for the Mercia Regiment museum in Worcester by the way.
