Brian Keith Posted November 21, 2014 Share #1 Posted November 21, 2014 Here is a great uniform of a great USMC Vet, SSG Donald F. Myers, a true Hoosier Hero. This ribbon bar was probably made and worn after his active duty time. Some appurtenances are missing. (The EGA are replacements). This uniform will be on exhibit next year at the Museum of the Soldier, in Portland, IN. He was the Speaker at our USMC Birthday Celebration in 2007, he passed in 2010, RIP Marine! Yes, that is FIVE Purple Hearts!

BEAST Posted November 21, 2014 Share #6 Posted November 21, 2014 Very nice addition to the museum! Brian already knows this, but SSGT Myers also wrote an excellent book on his experiences: YOUR WAR-MY WAR : A MARINE IN VIETNAM.
