I've also found this to be true. Seems kind of funny but I suppose we're still waiting for an in depth tome on this one. I think it's safe to say that they've been generally under appreciated.

Hi Camillus,
you can find two articles about USN Mark 1 by Frank Trzaska in Military Knives A Reference Book. This book is MUST for all knife collectors. There are a lot of articles originaly published in Knife World magazine writen by Frank Trzaska, Mike Silvey, Eugene Stone, Jr., etc.
