colbill Posted October 25, 2014 Share #1 Posted October 25, 2014 All: You my have seen this on Fox News...CSM(Ret) Robert Gallagher passed away on 12 October. He was in his early 50's and a legend in our Army and the 3rd Infantry Division. In addition to being wounded during the Black Hawk Down episode, he was awarded a Silver Star and Purple Heart in OIFI as the CSM of TF3/15 IN. He was awarded the Defense Distinguished Service Medal when he retired on 1 January 2014 as the Sergeant Major of the Wounded Warrior Program. I had the honor to know and serve with him.
