devincu Posted October 24, 2014 Share #1 Posted October 24, 2014 Hey Guys I picked up a small grouping from the vets niece today. She couldn't tell me much about his service but she knew he served overseas during WWII. She gave me his Jump Wings, Dog Tags and a photo of him which is pretty faded, but I can make out the Jump Wings on his Class A. When I look him up on the NARA website it says he enlisted in 1946? I would really like to know what Airborne division he was with, but I am not having much luck. I know he was from Alabama close to Tuscaloosa originally. I would be very thankful for any help on this one. She says there is more of his items at her brothers house and that she will get them for me, so maybe there will be some hope if that pans out. Thank you Devin

wildcat123 Posted October 24, 2014 Share #8 Posted October 24, 2014 My Grandfather in-laws re-enlistment date is what shows up in his NARA record (1946). So I know it is a possibility.
