replacement service stars

does anyone know a source or a way to fix broken service stars on a ribbon bar. had the ribbon bar off and my cat decided to play with it and 2 of my 3 stars came off.

I have fixed it for now. pulled the wire out filled the star with super glue let dry and put them back in. we will see how long it holds

I super glue all my stars and oak leaf clusters on my personal ribbons. If done right it makes for a cleaner look.

well if the glue don't hold on the little wires then gluing them to the ribbon bar its self is the next option. that is if I can not find replacements.

^{You can find them on eBay, on line at Medals of America, Saunders Insignia, any uniform/gear supplier such as Marlow White, Brigade Quartermaster, US Cavalry,etc. (not sure if those last two are still in business - it's been a while since I used them.)}

 

^{My local surplus store sells ribbons, stars, etc. too.}

 

^{Worst case scenario, send me a PM and I can probably scrounge up two or three for you.}

 

^{Now, if you're looking for WWII-era stars, that's a different ball game. I'm not aware of any significant differences, but I am not an expert on ribbons, medals, etc.}
