I have a few really big patches and when I say big I mean if these are meant for Jacket backs, the wearer would need to be lineman size...

I think the Topeka is a "standard size jacket patch at 9 and 3/4 inches

Thanks for starting this topic, it was on my to post list too. Those TOPEKA and Souda patches are outstanding.

Here's a small fry, just under 8" but it's cool and she's a BIG gun cruiser

Long before the Maersk Alabama seizure this Oliver Perry Class guided missile frigate was a cold warrior commissioned in 1984 as part of the "600 ship navy" serving in the Atlantic, Med & all of the Gulf crises and wars. She was decommissioned just last month in September 2014.

But this one's my favorite for several reasons, not just the 10 1/2" size

U.S. NAVAL ELECTRICAL CLASS 17

post-2322-0-50061800-1413670895.jpg

Handmade irregular shape with 1940's or earlier materials. It's mostly felt on silk with the letters individually applied.

The '17' is a cut out inset to show the backing behind. This all gives it a 3D appearance
