P47 Instrument panel/cockpit parts wanted

Dear All,

 

I'm looking for either a very good reproduction or (dreaming !!!) an original P47 Thunderbolt instrument panel. I have emailed Warbird-parts.com as I know they were advertising they have repro ones in stock but I thought I'd ask on here in case anyone can help.

 

Likewise any other cockpit parts (or any P47 bits for that matter !), this is going into a replica P47 cockpit project with a plan to utilise as many original parts as possible and will be located at the new Bottisham Airfield Museum and it will based on a 375th FS machine of the 361st FG. The museum has just managed to secure the old 375th FS ready rooms and dispersal area with plans to expand on this and to put the site back to its original 1944 status.

 

The guys are already well on the way with the P51 project but alas the 'Jug' is often overlooked so I plan to change that.

 

If anyone can help with any leads/ideas/parts then please drop me a message.

Hi Jon,

 

Many thanks for that, I may have struck gold today, spoke to an old collector buddy of mine and he has a few P47 bits up for grabs so any 'spares' going begging I'll post up here and also spoke to another contact who is having some a/c instrument panels being made and he's hoping to get some Thunderbolt ones done also, again I'll keep everyone posted.
