strange QMC marked mittens ? ID help

Picked these up yesterday, was told they were ww1 air service but I don't think that really makes sense as i would think they would be gloves instead of mittens, the age does seem realistic though any help would be very helpful they are connected so that they would not be lost is you were to take them off. stamp reads,

darn, I was hoping they were ww1, but they are cool none the less however they don't really fit my collection, if someone is interested drop a PM, or i will put them up in the for sale section
