anton67 Posted September 24, 2014 Share #1 Posted September 24, 2014 Hello, I picked up these two bayonets. Can anyone tell me what rifle they are for and what type of bayo they are? Also what would you value them at in this condition? Thank You

poch Posted September 24, 2014 Share #7 Posted September 24, 2014 Hi, the long one is M1905 for Model 1903 Springfield rifle. During WWII was also used for M1 Garand rifle. The short one is Model 1892 for Model 1892, Model 1896 and Model 1898 Rifles.
anton67 Posted September 25, 2014 Author Share #8 Posted September 25, 2014 Thank you Poch for your input. I know that they are not in very good condition but what is an approximate value? Just looking for a ball park in case I decide to sell them. I picked them up with a whole bunch of other items (sort of a Hodge podge) recently. m1ashooter Posted September 25, 2014 Share #9 Posted September 25, 2014 Gary who is a member here has devoted a lot of time in the documentation of US Bayonets. This is a great source of reference. http://www.usmilitaryknives.com/bayonet_points.htm Just a guess but based on the condition of the bayonets I'd say $50 to $100 each.
