dan_the_hun84 Posted September 23, 2014 Share #1 Posted September 23, 2014 So just for fun, here is my M1 Garand. It was a 21st Birthday present to myself. At the time I wasn't so much concerned with collectability rather more interested in having a shooter. And that she does, very well- although I dont get to the range as much as I would like. The barrel is a 1965 dated SA, and I changed out the rear sight to the WW2 lockbar type a couple years ago from the post-war T105E1. I think the stock cartouches are correct for its serial number/MFG year.

coolhandluke Posted September 23, 2014 Share #5 Posted September 23, 2014 She's a beauty, very nice cartouches. So nice that I immediately thought they were humped...but after a closer inspection, they look legit. Great stock, nice lockbars, and the '65 dated SA barrels are some of the most accurate that you will find. BTW, your serial number is pretty much directly in the middle of the NFR serial number range. Congrats! Someone really needs to start a photo thread for everyone to post pics of their M1's.
