hink441 Posted September 21, 2014 Share #1 Posted September 21, 2014 Found this plaque recently. The Preserver had an interesting history. She was in bombed in WW2 and also served in Korea. She conducted numerous Arctic operations, and was involved in the USS Thresher search. In 1986 she located the Space Shuttle Challenger crew compartment. Really like the plaque. The insignia is painted aluminum.

Salvage Sailor Posted September 21, 2014 Share #4 Posted September 21, 2014 Aloha Hink, She's one of "our" ships. Several of her crew will be attending the NAFTS reunion in Portland next week (Sept 24 to Sept 28 2014). Nice plaque, I have two of them myself and here's a Vietnam era belt buckle from ARS-
