Jeffro Posted September 18, 2014 Share #2 Posted September 18, 2014 Mort, I sure hope you weren't the buyer. Someone out there just paid $579 for two fakes in my opinion. These patches, the way they are made and their WW2 designs are well documented in Millstein's book and on many websites including this one. Nobody taking any time to minimal research on these items this day and age should be paying prices like that for obvious fakes. The seller seems to have lots of Militaria, so when the description indicates that he has no idea of the era, but the listing indicates WW2, that's always a red flag to the buyer in my opinion. If you bought them, send them back! Jeffro
Johnny Signor Posted September 19, 2014 Share #3 Posted September 19, 2014 Also note that the felt backing is the same color on both , that's a telltale indication of being repro I'd think !
ocsfollowme Posted September 19, 2014 Share #4 Posted September 19, 2014 A handful of these have popped up this past month with only one being real IMHO. It was listed with a BIN. All the others looked like the ones being listed in post two.
