kilian Posted September 17, 2014 Share #1 Posted September 17, 2014 At a Dutch auction site I came across a guard marked RC.CO M3. I am not a collector of M3 knives, but I noticed that the blade's backcut is not square, but sloping / curving like you can observe on Eickhorn made M7 bayonets. Using Google I tried to find pictures of guard marked Robeson M3's for reference, but could not find any. Are you aware of guard marked RC.Co M3's ? SKIPH Posted September 17, 2014 Share #3 Posted September 17, 2014 As byf41, sated, there are no guard marked RCC M3 trench knives. But, we'd sure like to see a picture. THX SKIP
kilian Posted September 17, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted September 17, 2014 Thanks for your comments. I am not an M3 collector, but was just curious. You confirm my conclusion after a quick search of the Internet: Either an exceptionally rare original or a rare fake, and probably the latter. Here's a link to the auction. Don't know how long it will be visible. http://www.marktplaats.nl/a/verzamelen/militaria-tweede-wereldoorlog/m849003852-us-m3-rc-co.html Kilian
