USMarineCorps Posted September 15, 2014 Share #1 Posted September 15, 2014 Hi all, I'd like to hear some opinions on this vietnamese made tiger stripe. Is it a period made piece ? I'm sorry for the bad pics but it's not in my possession ( yet ). thanks! Frederik

USMarineCorps Posted September 15, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted September 15, 2014 hi, thanks for your input. I know you're a collector specialized in Vietnam era Navy SEAL stuff, so could you please give me some reasons why this one is fake? Not that i'm doubting what you're saying, but just so i know what i have to look at next time. thanks! Frederik

Spike Posted September 15, 2014 Share #7 Posted September 15, 2014 These kinda vests were NEVER made in tiger stripe and in the 1000's of pics and slides I have on SEALs in VN, I have NEVER seen ANY vests made out of tiger stripe. It's a recent made fantasy piece made up to cash in on the float coat craze.

bravo_2_zero Posted September 16, 2014 Share #9 Posted September 16, 2014 This was made early 2000's by CAB. It was made in 2 color tones , olive green and tan green. I own a tan green based short sleeved 2nd patt jungle jacket.
