KurtA Posted September 14, 2014 Share #1 Posted September 14, 2014 Found this the other day. The SSGT chevrons are US-made, but all the other insignia is Indian-made. Both shoulder patches are snap-on. The USAAF patch is a nice printed variation with white backing. The jacket is a very loose weave type of material. AZPhil Posted September 14, 2014 Share #9 Posted September 14, 2014 That is an awesome jacket. I was told in another thread about my Great Aunt's service in the CBI that this material is refered to as aertex fabric. Here is a pic of my Aunt's blouse she wore while in the CBI made of the same material.Semper FiPhil

doinworkinvans Posted September 14, 2014 Share #12 Posted September 14, 2014 I think I like that AAF patch just as much as the jacket itself!

KurtA Posted September 14, 2014 Author Share #14 Posted September 14, 2014 I think I like that AAF patch just as much as the jacket itself! Me too. I can't believe it's very scarce, but I can't recall seeing another like it. See lots of printed CBI's but not AAF.
