militariaone Posted September 13, 2014 Share #3 Posted September 13, 2014 Greetings Skip, Left Fayettenam last weekend for Germany. About the only regret I had, was knowing I was gonna miss this weekend's Raleigh show. Find something nice! Cheers, Lance
SKIPH Posted September 13, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted September 13, 2014 Just got back from Raleigh, thought it was a decent show. Talked to Thorin 6, he had some interesting items for sale, also met another forum member for the first time, "Elton". He found me through Robert Wilson of "Tarbridge Militaria". We all shot the breeze poked around, I finally came up with a deal I couldn't refuse. Picked up a very nice PAL guard marked M3 w/ an M8 scabbard. Wasn't sure if I needed a 6 or 8 groove, already had a guard marked PAL, took the deal, lucked out. I did need the 6 groove guard marked. Happy! Saw a lot of WW2 web gear this show, seemed more than normal. I thought it was pretty good, as usual. SKIP

I'd ask for pictures, but with your Ted Kaczynski fear of technology (i.e. digital cameras) I won't ask Regards, Lance
SKIPH Posted September 14, 2014 Author Share #6 Posted September 14, 2014 Lance- Would rather spend the money on a new knife, than a camera. But, have got mine working, but, no way to transfer pics to computer yet. Getting there. LOL!!! SKIP
ka bar Posted September 14, 2014 Share #7 Posted September 14, 2014 Skip, when you FINALLY get your pics up of your collection and posted on the forum... I am sure it will be breaking viewing records on USMF... Probably going to be the most anticipated post in the display topic....
SKIPH Posted September 14, 2014 Author Share #8 Posted September 14, 2014 ka bar-I've got some old pics, but no where near the full collection. Might be able to post some of those. Honestly, I suspect my collection pales compared to some of the others on the site. SKIP
tarheeltim Posted October 26, 2014 Share #9 Posted October 26, 2014 Skip, glad I could accommodate you with the PAL M3! I'm sure you'll return the favor on a nice M3 or M6 Scabbard! I'll look for you at the next show. Tim
