WWII OCS Patch Variations

A couple of questions ...

1.) Are all four WWII variations? None glow.

2.) Is the gold variation for female soldiers?

3.) What does the blue represent?

4.) Any other variations I need to look for?

Thanks,

HOF

I have about 6-8 variations from WW2-1950. There is also a black back WW2 too. I have to check, but I believe Vance is correct with twill. I went through OCS which is why I started to collect them. The nice thing about OCS patches is that you can get any variation for under $5.

OK, these are the only two that I have with me right now that are not in storage in Arizona.

Both greenbacks. Left is twill, right is FE cotton.

Steve, thanks for sharing this one. I didn't know the blue version could be found on twill.

Unless it is a faded black one. Just BIN tonight. Will see when it arrives by the weekend. Sure appears to be blue though.

Hi guys

Just to add , note the variations with the "C" can go under and over the "S" also there are ones with and with out edging around the letters.

Below is Narrow letters on black twill with midnight border.

I fixed the photo in #18 up on photoshop. I just picked this one up this past week and am pleased to add it to my collection. They are hard to come by.

My blue one is randomly in a shadow box so it was not included in this photo.

Here is what I have from collecting since 2011.

Forgot about this thread. Here’s an odd one I picked out a junk bin at SOS a year or two ago.

The front has been colored in, hard to see but when in hand you can notice the bleeding of the black circle.
