I really can't believe you found this, you made my day. Now with the info that you shown is there any way i can find out what regiment, battalion he was in or is that lost.??

I found pretty much the same info on Fold3 but I can add that according to his BIRLS death file, he passed away on July 27, 1999

Thanks man for taking the time to look, much appreciated good sir and roger that that's where i'm at on my end too, Waltham Mass. 1999 Currently looking for an obituary/anything else i can find. I will keep updating as soon as I find more intel.

I located it on the National Archives database using the search feature in the link below. Finding a match much easier when you actually have the veteran's last name. After typing "Coffin" in the search field, I browsed the results for serial numbers ending in 6662 which is the last 4 digits of the laundry number stamped on the liner webbing.

Thanks again for taking the time man ^_^ update on what i've found are just tid bits from here and there, In 1964 he was the master of the Masonic Lodge in Waltham Mass. I found the 1940's Census for him and his family in Waltham Mass, as well as his occupation in 1940 he was a Attendant at McLean Hospital in Belmont mass. I posted the link for the 1940's Census.
