Bugme Posted August 28, 2014 Share #1 Posted August 28, 2014 This may have been posted here before, but I haven't seen it. It is very cool if you have never seen it before. During World War II the Army Corps of Engineers needed to hide the Lockheed Burbank Aircraft Plant to protect it from a possible Japanese air attack. They set up the camouflage netting to make it look like a rural subdivision from the air. ocsfollowme Posted August 28, 2014 Share #4 Posted August 28, 2014 If you have never seen the 2013 movie, more of a documentary....Ghost Army I would highly suggest it. It's about the military artists that did the coverup of this base in the thread. For those who have Amazon Prime, it is free to watch. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost_Army

Bugme Posted September 17, 2014 Author Share #14 Posted September 17, 2014 Employees could even walk on the roof during breaks just to add to the realism. Notice that there is even a street with car s and the trees are made of burlap.
