AAF_Collection Posted August 23, 2014 Share #1 Posted August 23, 2014 This wing is on an AAF Officers "cut down" ike jacket I have, unfortunately researching the owner is proving difficult as I only have his surname (Shutts). I would welcome opinios on where this wing could have been made, US or overseas?. Thanks!. Matt.
pfrost Posted August 23, 2014 Share #2 Posted August 23, 2014 Looks like a US-made wing to me. Here is a very similar pilot version. I have sometimes seen these in the original cellophane wrappers. I can't recall, but I believe they will sometimes have a sticker on the package for either NS Meyer or Gemsco.

pfrost Posted August 23, 2014 Share #4 Posted August 23, 2014 Great wings, no matter where they were made. I have always loved the bullion.
pfrost Posted August 23, 2014 Share #5 Posted August 23, 2014 This is what I'm talking about. This is from this thread out of Russ' collection: http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/71999-caawtscptflight-schools/page-10 Its not an exact match, but pretty close.
