British or Canadian made US 76mm shell?

I found this ammunition shelllast year but I have no time to do any research with it... I just know that this type of ammo ws issued in M18 Hellcat and M4A3E8 but most interesting is manufacturer, type of ammo is stamped as in typical US made shells 76MM M26, and date on bottom-1944 but it also have marking typical for British ammo: LOT 141 and arrow , DB/C and marking which looks like like that Y

This shell is really mystery for me, I know that they made US gear in Britain but I don't know that they made ammo. Anyone can Help?

The arrow marking is the acceptance mark of the British Ministry of defense. So that is a British shell casing. The Canadian mark is the same arrow with a 'C' around it.
