WWII Hand Made Fighting Knife by USN Chief on USS Whitney

This knife was made by a US Navy Chief in WWII who served on the USS Whitney during the Pearl Harbor attack. He later became a Warrant Officer. The pommel screws off. To me the knife looks hand made, but your comments are welcome!

Very nice knife; the blade has the appearance of a Mark 1 type knife; not unusual for an existing knife to be reworked if the handle was beat up or just if the SM wanted to make it personal.

Cool knife!Some of the "handmades" I've seen seem to be more "eye candy" than practical.This one is handsome and looks "all business" as well.
