Justin B. Posted August 22, 2014 Share #3 Posted August 22, 2014 Those were actually just worn on the shirt collar, someone pinned them on the cap to keep the pieces all together, I imagine. Aviation cadets wore them horizontally on each side of the collar, un-fowled arm of the stock on top. Naval Academy and reserve midshipmen wore them vertically, un-fowled arm to the front.
