BEAST Posted June 20, 2008 Share #1 Posted June 20, 2008 Help! I have had this uniform for about 12 years now and have not been able to identify the last ribbon. The veteran entered the Wisconsin National Guard during the Spanish-American war and continued with the Guard until after WWI. The red and yellow ribbon has been identified by forum member Fred Borgmann as the Wisconsin National Guard Long Service ribbon. Now I am trying to identify the last one, the red, white and blue ribbon. Maybe a patriotic ribbon for his service in the Spanish-American war or WWI? Maybe a fraternal ribbon or a reunion ribbon? It reminds me of the medal we see for the Spanish-American War Veterans organizations. I have even seen a similar one being given to OIF/OEF vets by one of the veteran organizations. So what do y'all think?

USMCR79 Posted June 20, 2008 Share #3 Posted June 20, 2008 The same ribbon was used for a group called American Veterans of Foreign Service.........I think it was later absorbed into the VFW Bill
