Cap Camouflage Pattern I Posted July 29, 2014 Share #1 Posted July 29, 2014 I got this 1952-dated jerrycan from a parent's friend who has some property out in the country and I found it outside a broken shed with blue paint on it and full of paint-thinner. Now before I remove the paint, I want to ask, is it known for the military to paint gascans blue for some reason? As you can see some of the paint is already flaking off in some places but it's stuck on pretty good in most places. Any tips on how to remove this? RustyCanteen Posted July 29, 2014 Share #2 Posted July 29, 2014 It could have been painted by a farmer, but it looks like a nice 1950s used can painted in USAF Strata-Blue.
