There is always something for everyone at these shows, whether you have been collecting for 50 years or 50 days. Some better than museum quality displays, too. Great opportunity to physically examine what you collect. You can buy something right there and then w/o waiting 5 days, 22 hrs, 12 minutes, etc to do so.

I will have a table there to sell some uniforms I just don't have room for in my house. Several WW 1 84th Div uniforms, some uncommon insignia on WW 2 Ikes, too.

This is shaping up to be an excellent show - there will be some highly collectible militaria there - lots of entry level items, too.

I am looking forward to my first attendance at the ASMIC convention. I will have a sale and a display table. Still fine tuning the display but it will be USMC WWI unifoms and insignia. Stop by and say hello.

Well, just booked the hotel room today and am filling out paperwork for a table. Looks like I will be making this one, at first I didn't think I would.

See you guys in San Diego.

Philip

I recently joined ASMIC and I'll be at the show.

Bob, can you answer a few questions here and maybe it'll help a few others?

By "early registration" on the 4th, does that mean picking up your name badges and essentially signing in? If we won't be there until Fri morning I'm assuming we'll get our packet at the door?

Is the trading/social gathering on Thursday--which is at the same time as early registration--open to all attendees?

Thanks and looking forward to meeting fellow members and learning about insignia.

Table holders can go in on the 4th to set-up.

The 5th at 8am table holders, and early registration / members can go in. At Noon it opens to the public.

The trading area will be in the hall lobby, near check-in, but in the actual show.

If you guys have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

Do you have to join or be an ASMIC to attend?  What is the admission cost or cost to join ASMIC?   Thanks in advance.

Now living in Florida, and unfortunately won't be able to make the show.  I use to go to a show in San Diego around 2000-2003 time period???  If I remember correctly, Jeff sharp use to put that show on.  I always found some great stuff there.  Have a great time for all those that make it.

No you do not have to be a ASMIC member to come to the show.

It is $6.00 a person to come in after 12pm on Friday.

If you are a ASMIC member you can pay $15.00 and come in at 8:30 am Friday.

J- In 2000-2003 you were coming to our San Diego show. Jeff stopped doing his down there around 1994.

Bob,

Went to both.  I was going to SDSU back in the early 90s.  Guess I am getting old.

Either way, wish I was there.

John

The show is this weekend.

There are a few tables left.

This is the first militaria only show to be back in San Diego in almost ten years.

Bob,

Do you have any info on any seminars?  I recently joined ASMIC and will be attending.  I'm looking forward to learning more.

Thanks much,

J.R.

I believe there are two or three so far.

The only one I know for sure is Jim McDuff's on meet the ASMIC president.

I also believe Dave Johnson will be doing another.

Bob, are there typically long lines for registration and entry?

Would you recommend Friday arrival about 8AM for the registration process?
