Grenier Field had a special place in my Dad's heart -- it's location in Manchester, NH was close to his hometown of Quincy, MA, and it was a way point for aircraft on the North Atlantic Route which also went through his posting at Bluie West One in Narssasauq, Greenland. So he was there a number of times during his WWII service. As a Weather Forecaster, he made much use of data collected by AAF's First Weather Reconnaissance Squadron which was stationed at Grenier. Here is the latest addition to the World War II wing of the New England Military History museum (aka Robswashashore's basement) -- a modified B-25 of the 1st WRS, "Warm Front.'

Cool B 25 (isn't their nickname Marauder?) I especially like the design of the insignia, Well done!

Thanks Sis,

Right up the street from ma and pa in Salem, NH. Grenier Field has hosted many WW2 warbird stopovers over the years..

Another awesome job..
