Hi all,

Here is a Service wing that I picked up.It is in pretty rough shape. The back looks kind of gnarly. There are no markings on it so any info regarding the maker and time frame will be much appreciated.

Thanks

I'd say that you have a good "graduation pattern" wing here. The ugly coloring looks to be the result of uneven patina forming on the silver. It also looks to me like someone has clipped the tips of the prongs to make them even shorter. Maybe these were worn on a shirt and not on a jacket and the wearer wanted them to sit flush against the fabric.

All in all, a nice addition to your collection.

Thanks guys.I'm pretty excited about this one,my first Service Wing and pretty reasonably priced I think at 73 bucks.According to the seller, this Wing is named to Dick Jones "DJ" McCampbell, a China, Burma, India Service Pilot.
