Bob Hudson Posted July 5, 2014 Share #1 Posted July 5, 2014 This map has the title "Target Map" so I presume it was created to identify Japanese operations in Tsingtao, China. At the bottom it has the hand-written name of a Marine who served with the 29th Marines in China (I found his bio online).

Bob Hudson Posted July 6, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted July 6, 2014 Not the Tsing Tao beer company! Well actually it is there (using one of the other English spelling variations for the city now called Qingdao) Notice the Japanese army wisely built its barracks next to the brewery (which was started by Germans in 1903). Bob Hudson Posted November 6, 2017 Author Share #5 Posted November 6, 2017 Another Tsingtao map, this one dated July 1945: this one came from a Navy pilot who glued his drawings to the back of the map (one is still there).
