China Marine's Target Map of Tsingtao

This map has the title "Target Map" so I presume it was created to identify Japanese  operations in Tsingtao, China.

 

At the bottom it has the hand-written name of a Marine who served with the 29th Marines in China (I found his bio online).

Well actually it is there (using one of the other English spelling variations for the city now called Qingdao)

 

Notice the Japanese army wisely built its barracks next to the brewery (which was started by Germans in 1903).

Another Tsingtao map, this one dated July 1945: this one came from a Navy pilot who glued his drawings to the back of the map (one is still there).
