robinb Posted July 5, 2014 Share #1 Posted July 5, 2014 I found these the other day. All are identical. They appear to be unfinished or factory seconds. Any opinions?
Misfit 45 Posted July 5, 2014 Share #2 Posted July 5, 2014 Even as crude as those tips are, I think they are ready to assemble and parkerize. I have had UC M1s that I thought were ground on by some garage mechanic (no offense to garage mechanics), but it turned out that's the way UC did some of their blades. I think you have a great find. It's good to see the process in action. Marv
SKIPH Posted July 5, 2014 Share #3 Posted July 5, 2014 Would I be correct in assuming that these are from the Utica contract in 1952-53, and not WW2? SKIP
RustyCanteen Posted July 5, 2014 Share #4 Posted July 5, 2014 Robin, Very nice finds, are they fully machined to accept the catch assembly? RC
robinb Posted July 6, 2014 Author Share #5 Posted July 6, 2014 Yes. All of the machining has been done.

robinb Posted July 6, 2014 Author Share #7 Posted July 6, 2014 I don't know if it's a "great find" or just an interesting one. I plan on keeping only one for my collection. Do they have any value?
m1ashooter Posted July 6, 2014 Share #8 Posted July 6, 2014 Everything has value. I bet you could get $10 to $25 a piece.
