Found this in the back of a junk shop filled with asst. rusty odds and ends.

FYI,
That crate is from the ammunition plant in Evansville, IN. "EC-S" means Evansville Chrysler-Sunbeam, Repacked means it was repacked in a waterproof, "spam" type can. The "Sunbeam" was a plant taken over by EC during the war to expand their capacity. This case held two 600 round cans. Each can held 12, 50 round cardboard boxes of ammo. By the way, this was steel cased ammunition. EC made BILLIONS of rounds of ammo during WWII!
