Interesting WWII OSS JEDBURGH ITEM

This is an example of an item you can find at a stamp show .

This cover has a very interesting story. It was mailed by an OSS Major to another OSS major who was MIA at the time and had ended up as a POW in Stalag Luft 1 in Barth Germany. Major Manierre was a Jedburgh who was captured in France. Since he was MIA at the time the cover was mailed, it was " returned to sender " . Both men were classmates at the USMA .

Amazing story, there must be thousands of cool little stories like this one that people will never know about. Thank you for sharing......will be a cool story to tell my boys......
