Brewenn Posted May 14, 2014 Share #1 Posted May 14, 2014 Hello, Here's the aviator kit bag from Captain Joseph C. Antrim pilot of C-47 in the 85th Troop Carrier Squadron of the 437th Troop Carrier Group. Captain Antrim participated to the D-day and drop to 1:08 on the DZ A the 377th FA Bn Prcht and a detachment of the 326th Med Co AB (Mission Albany). He subsequently participated in market garden, the resupply of Bastogne and finally to Operation Varsity. The big plus is that the Captain had in his package a color camera (rare thing at the time) in addition to apparatus that led into the cockpit during the refueling of Bastogne. In addition to stencils, Antrim stitched a "name tag" on the bag, TQM codes were painted as well as a peak (what it is??) Place pictures, Voilà quelques photos d'Antrim other members of the crew (Antrim take the picture) Antrim on the left

Johan Willaert Posted May 16, 2014 Share #6 Posted May 16, 2014 You're welcome.... Most people think 506PIR whenever they see an ace of spades, when in fact most of the equipment marked like that was USAAF gear There a spade marked jerry can in the french book which is also described as 506.... On my Harley website are a couple of 9th AAF motorcycles marked with ace of spades too...
