LSM-206 US Navy jumper Amphibs Iwo Jima

As promised Leonardo, here is the the Amphib jumper I recently picked up. It belonged to a sailor who spent most of the war on LSM-206.

I swear I am not trying to find Iwo jumpers on purpose. I bought a couple lots on ebay of six WWII navy and marine uniforms and this was one of them. I will be posting the three marine uniforms for sale/trade later, two of which I have ID'd.

Another outstanding jumper, Jay. I'm hoping to stumble across an Iwo one sooner or later just to have an example in the collection. I recently managed to score my first jumper to someone on a ship that earned a Navy PUC at Okinawa. Those 1945 engagements were clearly pretty terrifying things to witness.

 

Now go out and buy a lotto ticket before all that luck runs out.
