Who Would Have Been Issued a O.D. Green Gore-tex Parka?

I found a solid green gore text parka today and I have never seen such a thing before. The NSN is 8415-01-228-1321 and the contract number is DABT64-92-C-0012 and it was made by Barrier ware Inc. It is real gore text material and US made hardware just solid green, it's even tagged parka, cold weather, O.D. Green. I will add pics later but does anyone have any information on this? Thanks

I believe that SF units such as 10th SFG received them prior to the commo version some time in the early 80's. Just something for my cobwebbed brain housing group.

Yeah, but that's a 1992 contract number, which is just about the time I stopped wearing my M-65 in woodland camo and was issued a woodland Gore-tex to wear. I'm guessing USAF or USN issue.

It may be part of the Army's OPFOR uniform, like the solid green BDU's. I know there is a green Goretex parka that is part of that uniform, but without a photo, it's hard to know for certain.

Most likely that was an OPFOR parka. It has a DABT64 contract number and that is for the local contracting authority for Fort Chaffee, AR. In 1992 the Joint Readiness Training Center was still located at Chaffee.
