B229 Posted April 16, 2014 Share #3 Posted April 16, 2014 Picket this up. The jump wing has been removed. Any idea on the patch. Are theses hard to find ? That's US Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne). It's a nice "theater made" example of the SSI, but other than that it isn't particularly rare or unusual. phrobis4 Posted April 16, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted April 16, 2014 Thanks for the info. Do you think I should restore the missing jump wing?
32sbct Posted April 16, 2014 Share #5 Posted April 16, 2014 Yes, I would put the wings if they were on there originally. Is there a shadow where they once were? USACAPOC is a big organization. It is a U.S. Army Reserve unit. Not everyone is jump qualified. Only six of the reserve CA battalions are on jump status, the 404th, 412th, 416th, 426th, 450th, & 478th. Even less are on jump status on the Pyops side of the house. However, many USACAPOC Soldiers are airborne qualified. USACAPOC's soldiers were heavily deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan. A typical unit deployed around three to four times during that period.
