mvmhm Posted April 16, 2014 Share #1 Posted April 16, 2014 I stopped at one of the local thrift stores yesterday, but no joy in Mudville. I did see this uniform though...a 1978 contract date fatigue shirt, but instead of a US Air Force branch tape, it's got this weird tape....maybe the embroiderer was dyslexic???? It's also done in a noticeably darker blue thread than the name tape. The uniform is mint, with no other signs of any insignia being removed. Ideas????? MattS Posted April 16, 2014 Share #2 Posted April 16, 2014 That's a joke, reads "Polish A.F." backwards, I hope it was done by Mr. Luski in good humor.
hink441 Posted April 16, 2014 Share #3 Posted April 16, 2014 That is funny. Polish jokes were very popular in the 70s. Not very politically correct in these days, but still funny. Chris
mvmhm Posted April 16, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted April 16, 2014 Aha....now I see it....maybe it was something akin to a party shirt???? Mark sends
MattS Posted April 16, 2014 Share #5 Posted April 16, 2014 I don't know if it qualifies as a 'party shirt', but I'm sure it was intended to be worn while consuming alcoholic beverages.

BEAST Posted April 16, 2014 Share #7 Posted April 16, 2014 Excellent shirt! Too bad you can't track down Mr. Luski to get the full story. Maybe if you put it on display, someone who knows Mr. Luski will help you out.
mvmhm Posted April 17, 2014 Author Share #8 Posted April 17, 2014 I didn't buy it..it's $9.99....maybe I'll go back for it and sell it here...not sure it would fit in with anything I have... Mark sends
